Aristotle: The Nicomachean Ethics

In the Nicomachean Ethics, Aristotle took up the questions of human conduct that had been examined by Socrates and Plato, putting them into a scholarly framework that still influences contemporary thought. Probably only Kant's duty-based approach has enjoyed an influence among moral philosophers that can rival that of Aristotelian virtue ethics.
